I nod. “I’ve decided to stay here. Put down some roots.”
“With Carter?”
My brows pull together. “Yes, with Carter. You knew were together right?” I ask.
“Yeah, I guess I just figured it wasn’t serious. I didn’t think you’d actually stay for the guy.”
“I’m not just staying for him Drake. I’m staying for me. I need this just as much as I want Carter. I want a place I can call home. I want to have friends I can hang out with. Staying on the road with you guys was fun when I was younger, but now it’s not enough. I need more from life than that.”
“I thought it would be you and me one day. I was waiting for you to get older.”
“But while you were waiting you dated plenty of women.”
“Did you expect me to be a saint until you were ready for me?” He throws out in anger.
I glare at him. “I didn’t expect anything from you except friendship! I’ve never seen you that way.”
“Because you never gave us a chance!” He says before pulling me close and kissing me. I push him away as fast as I can.
“Did I come at a bad time?” Carter asks.
“No.” I say at the same time Drake says “yes.”
“Fuck you both.”
Carter walks away refusing to stop and listen when I ask him to.
Drake grabs my hand stopping me from running after Carter. He looks shocked. “Do you love him?”
“More than anything. I know I’m young, but he’s the one.”
“Shit. I’m sorry I kissed you. Fuck I don’t know what I’m doing. I just had it in my head that eventually it would be you and I. I wanted to prove to you that there was something there.”
I shake my head sadly. “Not even a little bit. I’m going to go find Carter and explain what happened.”
I run after carter, hoping to catch him outside. He’s standing with a group of the Steel Daggers MC members drinking a beer. When I walk up he doesn’t even look at me. Just goes on carries on with the conversation he’s having. The guys there go quiet, staring at Carter and I. “Can I talk to you alone?”
“I think you said everything you needed to downstairs.”
“That wasn’t what it looked like Carter. Drake-”
“Were you or were you not kissing Drake.”
“No.”
Carter rolls his eyes. “Get out of here little girl and go play your games with someone else.”
Tears well up in my eyes but I refuse to let them fall. “Fuck you asshole.”
He snorts. “Oh look, she used adult words.”
I walk away tears streaming down my face. He wouldn’t even let me explain what happened. I’m pissed at Drake, but I’m even more pissed at Carter. I’m sure what he saw probably looked bad, but he should have given me the benefit of the doubt and listened to what I had to say.
I go downstairs and ignore everyone who tries talking to me. I’m so hurt and pissed I don’t know what to do. I had moved most of my things into Carter’s room, but his is the last place I want to be. I grab my suitcase and go to Carter’s room and pack up all of my shit. I bring it back to my room and then lay in the bed.
This wasn’t how tonight was supposed to go. I think to myself as I stare at the pregnancy test I took this morning.

CARTER
What the fuck did I just see? Drake was kissing my woman. Drake kissed Georgia. My eyes must be playing tricks on me because no way in hell did I ever expect that from her. I mean if she wasn’t wanting it, she sure as hell didn’t act like it bothered her.
Fuck! Instead of losing my shit, I decide losing my mind in the bottom of the bottle is the best way to solve my problem. I take three shots by the time Georgia makes it out to talk to me and what she says doesn’t make me feel any better about it. Fuck. All I can see is them kissing. It’s on constant replay over and over.
I want to go after her and make her tell me why. Why she would string me along if she wanted someone else. Was she even planning on staying here? I was coming in to ask her to be my Old Lady and give her a key to the house I just closed on, but instead my world is blown apart.
An hour later I see Drake talking with the guys in his crew. Fuck him and his part in this. I walk up to him and punch him in the face and then the stomach multiple times. I don’t give a fuck if Pres wants to keep the peace with Canton or not. Drake crossed the line and this is what happens when someone takes someone else's girl.
“She was mine!” I shout. He stands and backs up with his hands raised. “Fight me pussy. You took my girl and now you won’t fight me?” I yell.
“I kissed her and she pushed me away. She didn’t want me man. She said she was in love with you.” He yells.
I drop my fist and stare at him in confusion. “She didn’t kiss you?”
He shakes his head. “I kissed her and she pushed me away. That’s when you walked up.”
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Where is she? Where did she go?” I yell looking all over the place for her, but not seeing her there.
“Last time I saw her was over an hour ago. She was heading to the rooms.”
I run down stairs to my room and find that all of her things are missing. Fuck! I run to her room and find her asleep on her bed. Thank fuck. I kneel in front of her and see that something is lying near her hand. I grab it, realizing it’s a pregnancy test. “I’m going to be a daddy?” I say loudly.
Georgia’s eyes flutter open and they’re bloodshot. I did that. I hurt her.
“Baby, I’m so sorry.” I say holding her hand.
She pulls her hand out of mine and sits up. “Get the hell out.”
“What?” I ask shocked.
“I said get out. You didn’t want to listen when I tried talking to you, fine. But I’m not going to roll over and just let you treat me that way. That’s not how a man talks to his woman. So get. Out.”
“I’m not leaving until we’ve talked about this.”
She laughs darkly. “Oh yeah. So I have to stay and talk but you get to push me away? That’s not how this works.” Georgia gets off the bed and opens the door. “Get the fuck out.”
“No.”
All of a sudden Georgia starts to convulse, her eyes roll to the back of her head, and she falls to the floor. I catch her before she slams her head against the ground. I realize what’s happening about thirty seconds into staring at her shaking in my arms. Fuck.
I pull my phone out of my pocket and call 911. My next call is to Pres who answers on the second ring.
“You done throwing a bitch fit?”
“Georgia is having a seizure. Get Canton down here. Tell him I already called 911.”
I hang up and hold her while she continues to shutter.
A minute later Canton and Pres run into the room. Canton is holding a bottle and opening it as he’s coming towards us. “Slip this into her mouth and under her tongue.” He says handing me a pill.
I do as he says. Within a minute the convulsing stops and a couple of minutes later Georgia wakes up and looks around her in shock.
“Oh thank god!” I say holding her close. “Fuck you scared the shit out of me G.”
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” She says looking scared.
“Tell me what?” I ask.
“I was scared to tell you. I wasn’t sure how you’d react. I have epilepsy. Usually it’s not an issue, but if I’m under a lot of stress or I don’t take my medication like I’m supposed to it can cause me to have a seizure.”
“You should have told me. I need to know this so I can take care of you properly. What if your brother wasn’t here? I wouldn’t have known what to do.”
“I know. I’m so sorry.”
“No, I’m sorry. This is my fault. I shouldn’t have acted like such an ass. Please forgive me baby. I love you.”
“I love you too Carter.”
