  Saving His Princess

  Prince

I was there to make sure my brothers didn't screw up a rescue mission. The moment I heard her cries and witnessed her fight to live her fate was sealed. She wasn't who we were here for, but God save the soul of the man who dared put his hands on my woman. I never think twice, I act on instinct.

I never planned on settling down, but as soon as I saw her, I knew I'd do anything to make her mine. No one will come between us, not even the monster who brought her into my world. The thing about finding your forever, there's always someone dying to take it away.

  Lana

I prayed for God to send me a savior. When I gave up hope, he sent me an angel covered in tattoos and leather. He's a bad boy that's twice my age and the only man who can give me what I've never had.

He saved me once, will he be able to do it again?

Saving His Princess is book 4 in the Steel Daggers MC series. This is a safe MC novella with a guaranteed HEA. Each book in the series is about a different couple. While you don't have to read the previous books in the series to enjoy this one, I suggest reading them in order.

  Dedication

To Karlee and Mary, my pack, my tribe. Without you both, the Steel Daggers MC wouldn’t be here.

  Chapter One

  Vince “Prince” Moretti

“Got it!” Triton shouts, standing up quickly from his desk. Rash and Jester’s heads swing in the direction of Triton who is standing in front of the printer, waiting for whatever is coming out.

“Are you going to share or … you need to go jerk it a few times before you come back and share? We’ve had nothing for hours.” Rash says crossing his arms, glaring at Triton.

“Sorry man. I’ve got the address for Steven Prescott.”

We all look at each other and wonder what the fuck he’s talking about.

“Before Holly came to Meadville, she bounced around up the east coast for six months until she landed here. I was able to trace her last known whereabouts to a town right outside of Atlanta. From what I’ve been able to piece together, she was living with a guy, Steven Prescott who she used to be uh…” Triton hesitates and rubs the back of his neck.

“Spit it out Triton. We’re big boys, we can handle it.” Jester says.

“Prescott’s her ex, they were supposed to get married, but she bolted the day of and ran off. I don’t know why, but the dude is bad news. He’s got his hands in things that would put him away for the rest of his life. I wouldn’t want to be married to a monster like that. Word is he’s been looking for her since she left.”

“So, he has her then? Let’s go. What the fuck are we waiting for?” Jester asks, grabbing for the papers in Triton’s hand.

Instead of giving them to him he looks at Pres.

“You two aren’t going in alone. The last thing we need is for your crazy asses to wind up killing everyone off and leaving a mess of evidence everywhere. I won’t have our brotherhood torn apart over this. If we’re going up against a man as dirty as him, we’re going to be smart about it.”

I nod at Pres knowing exactly what he’s going to say next.

“Rock and Prince, gear up. I want you on them until we’ve got Holly back. Triton, how’s that jet, is it ready to fly?”

Triton grins “Ready, and all gassed up Pres. I’m sure a call from you to flight control, and we could be in the air in a few hours.”

“I’ll make it one. You five get your asses moving and get to the hangar. I want you in and out.”

“And Prince?” I stop at the door and look back at him.

“If possible, keep ‘em alive, yeah?”

Saluting him, I walk out the door knowing he just asked a hell of out of me. Keeping these crazy mother fuckers in line is a hell of a task on a good day. He’s sending me to get back their woman.

The flight is just long enough to give us time to read the files Triton gave us on Steven Prescott. Holly’s ex is a dirty son of a bitch who likes to traffic women, some as young as thirteen. What Pres asked of us is getting harder to agree to.

“I can’t believe the stupid son of a bitch thought he could take her from us and there wouldn’t be any consequences.” Jester fumes while reassembling his semi-automatic.

I’ve watched Rash take apart his Beretta
twice now with Jester sitting by his side.

We all knew those two were bound to happen, we’ve just been waiting for them to figure it out. Never thought It’d be a woman they’re both completely gone over to pull them together though.

Triton doesn’t bother stopping at an airport. We can’t afford the delay, and frankly, we don’t give a shit if it’s allowed or not. We aren’t planning on being here long. He flies us straight to the address and sets the plane down in the dick head’s backyard.

We decided before we left Meadville that Triton would stay on the plane, so we could be in and out. As soon as Triton lands the jet, I glance at Rash and Jester who are already standing, guns in hand, ready to get shit done. Rock and I are out of our seats seconds later following crazy one and crazy two.

I check my shoulder holster and make sure my guns are ready. I don’t know what I’m walking into and I’d prefer not to get shot today. I’m walking in knowing I’m prepared for anything to go down.

As soon as we get off the plane, I notice how pristine the grounds are. Should I be wearing a suit and tie for this rescue mission instead of my jeans and cut? I’m not even in the house yet, and my skin starts to crawl thinking about wearing a suit.

Jester draws his gun and is firing before I have the chance to stop him. He shoots the lock and then kicks the door open.

“Did you bother to see if the door was unlocked, or were you going for a grand entrance?” I ask crazy numero uno.

He shrugs and keeps walking, like what he did was normal behavior. We walk into the house but don’t get far when an older guy I recognize from the files comes running out a closed door. Jester points his gun at the guy and cocks it, steading his finger on the trigger. “One more fucking step and my finger slips. Do you understand?”

The guy jerks his head up and down, and I can’t help but roll my eyes. What a bitch. Rock walks over and grabs the pussy around the neck.

“Holly” Rash barks and the guy pisses his pants.

“You’ve got to be shitting me!” I yell, already fed up with the waste of space in front of us.

“Well, not yet,” Jester says laughing, still pointing the gun at Bernard. I read up on old Bernard here, and he’s as bad as the rest. Being loyal to a man like Prescott is a dumb move. Indulging in his product is even worse.

With guns drawn we walk into the closed office to find Holly dressed to the nines holding hands with the snake himself.

“I, Holly Bell, take Steven Prescott to-” Holly says stoically.

“Precious don’t finish that fucking sentence.” Rash orders, glaring at Prescott.

I hear a gun cock and look over to see Jester pointing his pistol at Prescott’s head. “Get your hands off our woman fuck head.”

He drops Holly’s hands, and Rash pulls her away from him.

Rock walks in with his arm wrapped around Bernard’s neck and addresses Holly. “Please tell me this isn’t the man that took you Hell’s Bells. I know you could have taken him on your own.”

She laughs. “No. Johnny took me. He’s about, well, the size of you. Less muscle though.” She laughs harder when Rock glares at her. When we hear something crash to the ground, her smile turns to a frown, and she runs out of the office, and I follow behind her.

“Help!” A woman screams. I find Johnny trying to pull the most devastatingly beautiful woman through the front door. Her clothes are torn, and she has blood dripping down her chin. I don’t need further explanation to know what happened to her.

“Fucking piece of shit!” I say to myself and draw my gun. I hadn’t intended on killing anyone today, but I’ll make an exception for him.

  “Lana, down!” Holly yells.

As soon as she’s out of the way I pull the trigger and hit the fucker in the middle of the forehead. She cries out as he falls to the ground on top of her.

Her cries tear right through me, and I’m running to her, pushing him off her. She’s curled up in a ball, and her dark hair is in her eyes. I brush it out of her face and look into the stormiest pair of grey eyes I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t even make sense to me, but I know instantly I’ve just found the woman I’m going to spend my life loving.

“My Princess,” I say, stroking her cheek as she stares up at me, sucking her bottom lip into her mouth. “Beautiful, I’m never letting you go.” I pull her up into my arms, bridal style and carry her out of this fucked up house, to the plane.

  Chapter Two

  Svetlana “Lana” Ivanov

I hate my life. I hate living in this stupid house. When I first got here, I thought Steven Prescott was a great man. He seemed so normal and treated me well. I almost forgot I was sold because I assumed Steven cared for me at first. The first night I got here Steven set me up in the biggest room I had ever been in and gave me a closet full of beautiful clothing. We ate dinner together and even did things every day, like take walks and watch Steven’s favorite shows. There were also a few times he had guests over, and I was able to attend.

For the first month, I thought he had rescued me from Razor and his awful men. I respected him and wanted to make him happy. I even began to have feelings for him, which is crazy! Things started to change a little at a time and eventually Birgitta, the housekeeper never came back. When I asked Steven where she went, he snapped at me. This is the first time he had ever raised his voice at me before. A few days later, he told me she was fired for not knowing her place. This was the first time I felt as if things weren’t as good as they seemed. He asked me to help here and there with the housekeeping until he found someone new. He never did.

Now he treats me like a piece of property. I’m expected to do what he says and not question him. At least when I was in Russia, I had the freedom to make my own decisions. I grew up in an orphanage and dreamed of leaving the place I was discarded. I know nothing of my parents and was told to feel blessed I’d been given a chance to live.

The only reprieve from life was an American teacher, Will Adams, who taught English, foreign language at my school. He made the United States sound beautiful and full of opportunities I didn’t have in Russia. He told me about a scholarship he knew of and encouraged me to apply. When I did and was accepted it was one of the happiest days of my life. I felt like my life was finally starting. This was supposed to be the beginning of something amazing.

Will helped me out with everything, even filling out the paperwork to get a student visa and set up my travel to the states. I should have known it was too good to be true. I shouldn’t have trusted him with my life. In the end, he was just one part of the big scheme to traffic over twenty women into the United States from Moscow.

Once in the states, all the women were kept locked underground in small cages we couldn’t even stand in. I learned quickly if I kept quiet and did what they said they wouldn’t stick me full of drugs. I’d need a clear head to survive this. I was locked up for over a month before I was sent to Steven.

Now I’m stuck living with a man that refuses to give me back my identification. He keeps telling me horror stories about what happens to people who can’t prove they’re here legally. I know he must be lying about some of it, but I can’t risk being sent back.

Last night he cornered me in the hall, a few feet from my door. He was drunk and standing entirely too close for comfort. He grabbed my breasts hard and started rubbing himself against me. When he orgasmed in his pants, he became angry and slapped me. Scared for the first time in months, all I did was cower to him. I listened as he berated me for dressing too provocatively. Apparently, it was my fault he couldn’t control himself. His bride would be here today, so I better be on my best behavior, or he’d give me to Johnny. I shudder thinking about the things that man would do to me if Steven let him.

After talking to Holly a few minutes ago, she’s promised to take me with her whenever she leaves. I feel my first sense of hope since I left the country I was born in. Russia isn’t my home, I’ve never had one of those and I never will if stay here in this pri
son.

I grab Holly’s clothes off the bathroom floor and walk them outside to the garbage. When I enter the kitchen from the back door, Johnny is sitting at the kitchen table, watching me as I walk in.

  “Come here Svetlana.”

I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, knowing something bad will inevitably happen if I don’t get out of here. I walk faster, pretending not to hear him, needing to get away from this man. I met Johnny a few times before he left to find Holly and every time he looked at me I’d cringe. He’s a huge man, tall with more fat than muscle. He’s strong though, and I know he could overpower me easily. He’s got a gold front tooth and greasy slicked back hair who smells like liquor and cigarettes.

“Stop! Steven gave you over to me as a reward for having been gone for six months tracking that bitch all over the country. Get over here before I’m forced to make you.”

I run and almost make it to the entrance of the hall when he grabs my uniform from behind, tearing it. He spins me around and slams me against the wall. He smacks me across the face so hard I see stars, but I refuse to give him the satisfaction of crying out. Damn it! What is it with these guys and hitting me in the face the past two days?

“Why’d you make me do that? You should have listened the first time!” Johnny screams in my face.

“Please don’t do this Johnny. I’m not what you want, I don’t have any experience. You need someone who knows what they’re doing. I have no clue.” I cry and beg, knowing being with him will be far worse than I’ve had it.

He smiles wide the more I talk and leans in to kiss me. I clamp my mouth shut refusing to kiss him back. He grabs my jaw and squeezes it open. I can’t help it when I cry out in pain. He shoves his nasty tongue into my mouth, and I bite it as hard as I can, drawing blood. When Johnny pulls back I spit in his face, and he slaps me again, this time against my mouth. Fuck that hurt!

“You stupid fucking cunt. You’re going to wish you hadn’t done that. We could have done this so much easier, but you had to be a bitch about it.”

He throws me over his shoulder, and I kick and scream the whole way as he walks to the front door. I make as much noise as I can, knocking over priceless art in the process, hoping Holly hears me in time and she can help.
